I’ve been seeing Dr. Pohl for my asthma since 2020, and now, in January 2025, I can confidently say that I’ve had five years of excellent care. His knowledge and experience have been valuable in managing my health. His nurses are wonderful, and the front desk team is always so patient and kind. Every visit reassures me that I’m in good hands. I’m truly grateful for Dr. Pohl and his team. Highly recommend!

Superb care!! Mrs. Rogers and I have been long time patients of Dr. Pohl. He and his team have kept us alive through severe asthma, bronchial spasms, choking spells and other respiratory issues. We consider Dr. Pohl and his team the best.

Dr. Pohl has decades of experience in the field of pulmonology. He's a native of Central Texas and proudly practices his knowledge and skills on patients seeking a chest/lung specialist who are also wise enough to book an appointment with him. He'll also be happy to discuss his extensive collection of cowboy/western art that adorns his office and exam rooms...just ask about any of his many paintings. His staff is also very friendly, personable and efficient.

I was a patient of Dr. Pohl. I was informed by Houston Methodist in Houston, that I needed a triple organ transplant(heart, lungs, and kidney). Staff member was rude to my wife. I called to get my medication, which my wife was calling about. Staff member was rude hung up phone. When I called back to speak with Dr. Pohl. He stated that she has been with him for years and that he believed her no matter what and hung the phone up. I know you have read your reviews. She knew she could lie and knew the way you would reacted. There was definitely more to that. I sensed that in the phone call. People in the medical field warned me. Some physicians even gave me the side-eye about you. God bless you! So mote it be!

Dr. Pohl attempted to treat my mother and myself for separate respiratory issues. Collectively we both had 10 appointments and each was not medically effective. The staff was rude, the appointments were a cattle call feel that lasted about 15 minutes. I repeatedly had to stop him from leaving the room because he was in a rush I had more to discuss. This guy way overbooks his schedule. Dr. Pohl was 20 to 45 minutes late to every single appointment. Read that again. 10 appointments and he was late to every single one. He would walk into the exam room and start reading the reason for the visit and never had done any prep work like looking over imaging or test results. The staff did not wear masks throughout the pandemic when much of COVID's level of contagiousness was unknown. The exam rooms are dusty and the air doesn't smell good. I'm trying to be as respectful as I can with this review, but this practice absolutely sucks and has jeopardized my own health and the health of my mother by taking up our time in finding proper treatment.

Unfortunately the Dr apparently is Not aware of the front desk representing his practice. Twice while trying to make an appointment the hispanic front desk was rude and uncompassionate in her handling of a patient trying to be a new patients. Trying again to make an appointment another member from Drs office was compassionate and understood the scheduling of a time convenient for an older unwell patient. HOWEVER miss unfriendly hispanic nurse basically called the appointment time as being made up. Said it was 30 minutes later than it was. And more or less called me a liar. She again was unfriendly and acted as if she could care less if the appointment was kept or not. If I was not clear she was very prejudice in her interactions with me. Why I mention her being hidpanic. If Dr is unaware Dr Pohl should know who is representing his practice. I have made an appointment with a much more professional organization.

I'm giving this place a 5-star review, reason?

When you first walk in to the clinic the overall atmosphere is welcoming with friendly staff. They were most helpful in assisting me and answering some questions. I waited about 10~ minutes to see Dr. Pohl himself (slow day probably) I gave him a run down of my symptoms and overall health and was helpful throughout the entire process answering questions about this and that.

One thing to note and it is a good one at that, Dr. Pohl is a straight forward Physician, never sugar coating anything and explains things in a way that you could understand rather than throwing a dictionary right into your face.

TL:DR, Friendly place, helpful receptionist(s) and open about their practices. Dr. Pohl is a professional in the field and a straight forward Doctor.
