It was an absolute pleasure to be attended in Bonhams L.A by Mrs. Kira Richardson.

Her unparalleled professionalism, depth of knowledge, and genuine kindness created an exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations.

She exemplifies the very best in her field, serving as a true standard of excellence for others to aspire to. Mrs. Richardson’s dedication to delivering outstanding service was evident in our interaction, leaving a lasting impression.

I wholeheartedly commend her for setting such a remarkable example and making the experience both seamless and memorable.

We have been here a few times for the previews and auctions. It is like going to a museum and being able to touch the exhibits, and then take it home if you win the auction. The previews are usually Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon. The auction is the next day or two. If you see something you want to bid on, be sure to register on the preview day or online as it is less busy than the morning of the auction. Also, they have phone and online bidding. If you are there for the bidding, they do provide nice morning and afternoon snacks. It is a lot of fun and free, unless you win the bid at which point it becomes fantastic.

Parking is behind both showrooms and free.

Excellent. All my questions were answered quickly. Kate and Isabel were very helpful, and Kate took me around to tell me a little about all items in the sale. I was able to pay and collect an hour after the auction, and Isabel called a 2nd consignor to see if he/she would accept an after-sale offer on piece that didn't sell. I picked both pieces up together. (I wish the premium hadn't risen slightly to 28%.)

I’ve purchased through many auction houses over the years and Bonhams is at the top of my list. The exceptional quality of the pieces offered at auction is matched by that of the members of Bonhams’ team in Los Angeles.

Everyone is kind, knowledgeable and professional and they go above and beyond to help. I am a client for life!

A bad experience. The day before the auction, it look me 5 attempts to register a credit card and then I got charged $1.00 six times on my card. I placed an online bid and when the auction started I wasn't able to increase my online bid. The "computer" must have assumed that my online bid was my highest bid, but it wasn't. Needless to say, the item sold for a price I would have paid. I called today at 4:50 and even though it says they close at 5PM, my called wasn't picked up.

I have absolutely no idea how this complete shambles of an auction house with blatantly untrained auctioneers has managed to keep going for so many years… but word of advice? Do NOT use them.

I was winning an auction for almost 40 seconds, fair warning, final call, the auctioneer took a final bid from someone else and then ended the auction 3 seconds later without giving me time to raise mine. Pathetic.

This should serve as a clear warning to bidders, but mainly as a dire warning to people contemplating selling as I was substantially below the amount I was prepared to pay.

Avoid.

The second time happening to me - watching live bidding via computer live a-said I won -only to find out 2 bids same amount seconds apart and no one ever said anything - computer said I won both -but NO! because it was a second behind the same bid from someone else- Absolute, nonsense as i would have bid higher - they need to clean-up the system

Utterly shambolic in almost every way. The slowest auctions I have ever witnessed and to sell low value lots. As a so called professional I am very happy to publicly let them know how utterly pathetic their organisation is because if I actually try to call the company the chances of actually being able to speak to someone are remote. Pull your fingers out , this used to be a great company under the stewardship of the late Robert Brooks.
