My heart is broken and I am super upset and disappointed in Fulton F's Auto Aid. I had originally given this business 4-5 stars on Google reviews as well as on FB reviews. I had to take away that review for sure.
I gave them a 2nd chance on Tues 6/18/19 (keep in mind I have been bringing my cars to them for over 5yrs. They were so awesome years ago and always honest and fair. That reputation/legacy is forever ruined with me). On Tues, my car stalled for the 2nd time in mid-drive (was driving my son on the freeway to summer school with my 2yo toddler in the back). My car would start but then just stop while I was driving it. So I called AAA and had it towed to Fulton F's Auto Aid. I didn't want to do to my last visit with them, but I thought I would give a 2nd chance because I have always given them my business in the past.
While there, the lead mechanic, Hassan, greeted me (he recognized me from last year). I thought this was refreshing and nice especially because I was already having a bad morning with a screaming toddler in tow.
I explained to Hassan what was going on. We went into the office and he said he would call me once they looked at it (I didn't expect it to be immediate since it looked as though they were busy).
Come Thur 6/20, I still haven't heard from them so I called at 910am. I asked for Hassan and he said that they drove my car but nothing happened and the car was running fine. I said "really That's so weird" he said "maybe it was bad gas in the car. We also kept it running but it doesn't show anything wrong with it. How many times did it stall?" I told him twice. He said he would take it driving on the freeway and then call me in a couple of hours. I said ok and we hung up. I still didn't feel comfortable with it all and started googling all possible reasons why a car would do that while you are driving it. So I asked my husband if he could call and ask some follow up questions to see what they checked (alternator, starter, sparks etc etc) so we can start ruling out some of those issues.
Well my husband told me that when he called and asked for Hassan, and mentioned that he was calling regarding the white Hyundai, that is when Hassan started going off on my husband. And my husband was like "whoa, I didn't even ask you any questions yet and you are going off on me?!" After their banter, Hassan stated that if we didn't like the way they did business then we could just go get my car. And my husband said that is exactly what we will do and told him to have a nice day (sarcastically).
We went and picked up my car. On our way home, guess what happened Yep...the car stalled again. Thank God we were close to home this time. Just so irritated and heart broken and hurt. NEVER AGAIN. Sidenote: there used to be a short, bald guy (maybe family friend or something) that used to work the front desk and he was horrible too...bad customer service. But I didn't see him this time so I pray Stan, the owner, doesn't allow him to work the desk any more...or with his customers for that matter. Another sidenote, Stan, the owner wasn't there. I heard Hassan tell another customer that Stan was on vacation. I pray Stan sees this and really looks into it because bad employees are very cancerous and they will bring down his business quick.
BACKSTORY from the 1st incident that made them untrustworthy for me (you can see my post on FB regarding the 1st incident back on 8/1/18 when you search Fulton F's Auto Aid if you want to read more about my ordeal. I ran out of room to post it here). In a nutshell, I paid over $200 for a smog because my EVAP system wasn't fixed (that is what I orignally went in there for back in August). The very next day the check engine light came back on. Please read review on Facebook for more info.
